From the Dean

The establishment of the Karachi School for Business & Leadership, a new world-class graduate business school in this country, is a transformative event for the country of Pakistan. The world watches this nation every day, and the rise of a new management school in Karachi is evidence of the seriousness with which Pakistan looks to its future as a major economic force in the region and the world.

National and multi-national companies, as well as local companies and entrepreneurs, now have access to some of the finest business and academic minds in the world. In October 2010, Cambridge University faculty members began teaching here in Karachi, and international resident and visiting professors are now gracing the classrooms and corridors of the new KSBL building. Designed by architects who have built schools across the globe, the building inspires with its style and provides learning opportunities for the top students in Pakistan and Asia. Whether students are meeting in breakout rooms to work in teams or are meeting informally with professors after class, they are focused on preparing themselves to be the future leaders in Pakistan and the region.

KSBL provides the tools and knowledge to give companies a competitive advantage. For those companies in Pakistan that want to compete successfully in a global society, KSBL provides their employees with the knowledge to successfully develop as leaders. We have outstanding Executive Education programmes that are delivered in Karachi by KSBL faculty and visiting faculty from the top-ranked University of Cambridge Judge Business School and other renowned international business schools. Our Full-time MBA programme commenced in September 2012 and the Working Professional MBA programme will begin in 2014. Do take a moment to look at our website and see all of the learning opportunities we offer.

KSBL has the backing of eminent and committed individuals both nationally and internationally on the KEI Board of Directors, the KEI UK Board of Trustees and on our International Advisory Board. A Project Team at Cambridge along with its counterpart in Karachi has worked full time to bring a world class MBA programme to Pakistan.

Our emphasis is on developing ethical leaders who have the entrepreneurial energy and zeal and the ability to think innovatively and out-of-the-box and we invite you to be part of one of the most exciting graduate management experiences in the world. Pakistan is a key player in the current world order and in Asia, and both companies and individuals need every advantage they can find to succeed. KSBL not only provides them with the tools necessary to take them to the next level, more importantly, we prepare them for a leadership role in their industries and in their communities.

Whether you are a business leader or entrepreneur looking for ways for your company to gain a competitive advantage in the global market, or you are looking to personally develop your skills in order to advance more quickly at work, I invite you to e-mail me at shaukat.brah@ksbl.edu.pk to learn more about us.
