Mr. Dawood N. Ghaznavi, Acting Dean KSBL, was invited to the FAST Final Year Project Conference 2012 held at FAST City Campus, Karachi. Professor Dr. Manzoor Anwar Khalidi, Head of Department at FAST welcomed Mr. Ghaznavi, who chaired the external examining committee and was alsothe Key Note speaker for the inaugural session. Dawood N. Ghaznavi designated as Acting Dean of Karachi School for Business & Leadership

Dawood N. Ghaznavi has been designated as the the Acting Dean of the Karachi School for Business & Leadership (KSBL). Over the past two years he has worked with Cambridge University’s Judge Business School to develop a modern MBA curriculum that deploys current lessons from today’s business environment to respond to today’s Pakistani issues. With acknowledged thought leaders as KSBL faculty, this will help develop ethical leadership with entrepreneurial energy and innovative thinking.

KSBL to begin MBA classes in September

The Karachi School for Business & Leadership (KSBL) will start classes for Master of Business Administration (MBA) from September this year. Talking to media on Tuesday, Professor Dawood N Ghaznavi, acting Dean of KSBL said admission process has already begun and in the first year some 65 students will be enrolled. The admissions will be granted on the basis of merit and that there will also be a financial aid structure with regard to the admissions.

We’re wiring the entire building for videoconferencing so that CEOs from London, Singapore and the US could show up on videoconferencing.

Leading local business schools are working hard to attract foreign faculty and faculty with doctorates from top international business schools, as well as entering into strategic collaborations with top business schools around the world. This is changing the dynamics of local education drastically and leading to a more enriching educational experience for students. The importance of applied research in Pakistan has also become evident to businesses and to business schools. With the addition of faculty with international doctorates coming to or returning to Pakistan, this research is now possible, in particular in collaboration with faculty from other parts of the world.
